THE MARTIAL ARTS MASTERS ASSOCIATION

Finally an opportunity to receive the recognition you deserve as a Martial Arts Master.

After 47 years in the Martial Arts I am feed up with a lot of the politics of Martial Arts. Time and time again I see people attacked by their supposed peers in the martial arts, and degrading their rank and titles. It appears that the only people that deserve to be Martial Arts Masters are the 25 people they think already are and no one else is allowed into this Perpetually Exclusive Club. It doesn't matter to these people that you might have 20 years of experience, 30 years of experience, 40 years or even 50 years of teaching experience. If you can't beat up one of the current UFC Champions, if you aren't Oriental with a fu man chu mustache, if you haven't worn 100 or more tournaments, if you don't live in a certain city, if you don't wear a certain uniform, if you don't send your money to certain organizations. Then you don't qualify for their exclusive club of masters of the martial arts

Friends, let me tell you some facts. Everyone who plays in the NFL hasn't won a Super Bowl, but they are professional football players. Everyone who plays in the NBA hasn't won a World Title, but they are professional basketball players. Everyone who serves for 20, 30 or more years in the military hasn't been to war, but they are professional soldiers. And everyone who has been teaching martial arts for 20, 30, 40 or even 50 years is a Martial Arts Master. They deserve this title not because they can whip you butt, not because they are faster, stronger and meaner than you, but because they have spent 20, 30,40 years in an art that requires dedication, perseverance and determination. They are in fact Masters of the Martial Arts because THEY EARNED IT, regardless of what your personal opinion of them is or is not.

And what is a Master of the Martial Arts.

Someone who has at least 20 years of teaching experience.

Someone who has spent over 4,000 hours or more teaching others martial arts. A minimum of 4 hours a week, 50 weeks for 20 years or more.

Someone who has trained over 4,000 students. 200 a year or more for 20 years.

These and these facts alone are more than enough to merit the title of Master of the Martial Arts. And the Martial Arts Masters Association has been formed to recognize these outstanding people

We want to recognize outstanding Martial Arts Masters in the Martial Arts Masters Association.

Get the Recognition you deserve for your 25+ years of Martial Arts Teaching and Training

The requirements to be in the Martial Arts Masters Hall of Fame

25+ years of teaching experience

4,000 hours of teaching and training

4,000 students (200 a year for 20+ years)

You must be a 5th Degree Black Belt or above

(Here are the minimum times we require to get your Black Belt recognized)

1st Degree Black Belt, 4 years Total years in Training 4 years

2nd Degree Black Belt, 2 years after 1st 6 years

3rd Degree Black Belt, 3 years after 2nd 9 years

4th Degree Black Belt, 4 years after 3rd 12 years

5th Degree Black Belt, 5 years after 4th 17 years

6th Degree Black Belt, 6 years after 5th 23 years

7th Degree Black Belt, 7 years after 6th 30 years

8th Degree Black Belt, 8 years after 7th 38 years

9th Degree Black Belt, 9 years after 8th 46 years

10th Degree Black Belt, 10 years after 9th 56 years
